Calling Dominicans & Puerto Ricans Spanish is as dumb as calling a Ghanaian English or a Senagalese French. Last time I checked, you had to be from Spain to be Spanish! #ignoranceaintbliss

And if you don’t get it, it might be time to do some reading. The book store will be open soon. Also, I think some latinos/hispanic people like being called Spanish – it is easier than having to deal with their real heritage. Spanish = European – they are not Spanish, unless they have become Spanish citizens. This is something I only hear in America, because we think all that is important is what is happening in our town or city – no bueno!
If we want other people to respect our culture and heritage, we have to return the favor.
